Kings also play Friday so I'd be fairly confident we see Scrivens tomorrow. Also thought as well as the Isles played the first 35, the last 25 was major concerning as a bounce here or there for Nashville would of gotten them right back in that game. A W is a W however.

really need to be better in their own end at getting it out first and foremost. So many dumb turnovers that should have been out of the zone.

Nelson looks good, definitely playing well enough to stay in the lineup. If I'm not mistaken, isn't Vanek a RW naturally? If so, what about dropping KO to the second line with Nielsen and Bailey and having Vanek slot in with Nelson and JT? If Nelson can keep playing like he is, that first line could be lethal. With KO playing with Frans and Bailey, that line could be lethal too.

Won't happen until better D-men are on the roster.

Even a no talent defender can chip and clear. They have to simplify their game. That once again comes down to coaching.

Pat LaFontaine named President of Hockey Operations for the Sabres is confirmed. Not yet confirmed but being reported by Buffalo media, Regeir, Rolston out, Ted Nolan in as head coach.

I truly understand that point but it's the forwards doing it that make me insane. You can not get cute in your own end... Can't!! I think Bailey thinks he is the Globetrotters of Hockey... you want to fck around around their blue line go ahead.. NOT OURS!!

That's what I have been saying since last year. Put KO with Bailey and Nielsen. I said bring up Strome, the other day, but the way Nelson has looked, let him play with JT and Vanek. CC, CC and MM on 4th. Mix and match on third line.

Good for LaFontaine. Hope he does well and is treated better then he was with the Isles for the 17 minutes he was employed.

I hope he trades us back Moulson for our 3rd line and PP .. for PMB, Regin and a 5th rounder.

Thought last season carried into this season for the first few games, especially the opening wins and win in PITT but the four game road trip was a wake up call and feel like the new season has really begun. Agree that Nelson needs time with Tavares since they are similar players and Vanek will fit on any of the lines especially with PMB and Regin plus Boulton for physical presence.

Grabner may be having a hard time because of the North-South vs East-West game that they play so he has a harder time turning on the jets. Let the kids play and don't have to feel that Nabokov has to overplay and cover every mistake.

lets not forget the isles played a predators team that was shutout the past 2 games.... it was a nice win, a much needed win and a necessary win but lets not forget its a game they are supposed to win.

1 game at a time.

All they need is Neil Smith now. Good luck to Patty. Wonder how Wang feels about this?

Sort of blows that whole "he refuses to be part of a rebuild" nonsense right out of the water.

Pretty much. Hopefully Isles right the ship . Could get awkward if the Isles struggle and Patty and Ted do well.

Eh, I'm not so sure about that. What he was 'willing' to be or not be part of was likely based on the moment.

I think it will be interesting to see how well he does there.
